Helping People to Help Themselves... Welcome to Partners for Haiti, a Mission project in Haiti. Check out the picture gallery to see the ways that God is working in Haiti through the generosity of many. About the Mission -
The mission is located in the village of Duffailly. -
This project was started in Sept. 1993 by Raymond Fillion as a retirement venture. -
After 12 years we operate a school of 477 students (2005) as well as 150+ in our two satellite schools in neighbouring villages. -
We have 14 teachers; operating costs are approx USD $1,200 per month. -
Our school has a good reputation with the Department of Education based on the performance of students in government testing. -
We feed 250+ children bread and peanut butter four days a week at a cost of almost USD $5,000 per year. -
We feed rice to 57 families twice a month at a cost of USD $ 9,000 per year. Because of the political unrest and rebellion, the whole country is in disaster and this type of assistance is absolutely neccesary for many. -
This last year we built 20 houses for homeless families at a cost of USD $800 each. Because of the rise in the cost of living, a house now costs USD $ 1,200. (The cost of gasoline is $7.50 per gallon)
